Cheers as High School Teacher Walks Out of Last Round of Chemo

A high school teacher was greeted with a huge celebration, after leaving his 12th and final round of chemotherapy for colon cancer, in Saginaw, Michigan.

Footage shows a group of Brendan Harrison’s family and friends cheering and clapping as he walks out of the radiation center.

Speaking to Storyful, Harrion’s sister Morgan said he was diagnosed with colon cancer in October, 2022. Brendan immediately underwent surgery to remove the mass. After two months of post-surgery recovery, he began chemotherapy which continued for another six months.

“He is a teacher and a high school varsity baseball coach so you can see his team along with many friends and family gathering together to congratulate him for such an accomplishment,” she said. Credit: Morgan Harrison via Storyful
