After a lifetime of dance, cheer, and gymnastics practice, Pricilla Womble of Georgia tried out to be a cheerleader for the Atlanta Falcons and made the squad. The accomplishment felt extra-special to her, because her mom, Janet Mosaku, was also part of the Atlanta Falcons squad, in 1994. And when Womble shared a side-by-side photo of the two of them wearing the same uniform recently, it went viral.

Womble tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the theme of Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills was “throwback.” As she explains, “All the girls on my team had to wear some type of throwback uniform, whether it be from the ’80s all the way to the 2000’s. So it just so happen that my mom, former ’94-’95 Falcons cheerleader, had her old uniform that fit me like a glove, so I wore it that game.”

Her Tweet has gotten over 184,000 likes and 30,000 retweets, plus 300 comments praising the photo.

Womble says she never imagined her post would go viral, and is shocked.

“I just thought that all of my friends and family would be excited to see the side-by-side comparison,” she says. “I had no idea that so many people would see it, and my mom is so excited.”

The 20-year-old says her mom has been supportive of her journey to become a dancer.

“I know she’s super emotional to see …the busy young lady she’s seen me become, and even more thrilled that I’m dancing for the same team she’s danced for,” she says. “We have such a special connection, it’s truly brought us close. She’s my best friend.”

Womble is majoring in business management at Kennesaw State University, and has dreams of owning her own business related to dance, cheer, or gymnastics.

“I just know that cheering for the Falcons and continuing school will lead me in the right direction,” she says. “Right now I’m living in the moment, enjoying every second.”
