Check Out These First Photos of Camila Cabello in the Upcoming "Cinderella" Adaption

Camila Cabello's Cinderella faced a rocky road after production was stalled last March because of the coronavirus. Luckily, the cast and crew were able to get back on set in August and now we finally have some photos of the singer embodying the iconic princess, as well as a possible release date!

In the first photo, we see Camila looking gorgeous in a white corset as she seems to be singing while playing with some fabrics. Could she be working on a dress for the ball?

In another photo, Camila is dancing with Nicholas Galitzine, who plays the Prince. We even get a sneak peek of Camila's Cinderella gown in this pic, and, of course, it looks absolutely beautiful.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Cinderella will be released on Amazon in September, meaning we will be able to sing and dance along to the Disney classic from the comfort of our homes this fall. The adaption, though, will be a little different than the classic story we know and love. Writer and director of the movie, Kay Cannon told EW, she wanted to modernize the story and make Cinderella more "vocal and active."

"I was someone who wasn't really that attracted to the Cinderella story," Kay said. "I kind of thought it was just a bunch of women being mean to each other." Now, her re-telling of the story is a "great opportunity to show this loved, iconic character that is Cinderella in a way that's more relatable to what girls and young women in particular are going through, where they can really see themselves."

Those modernized changes include Billy Porter as the Fairy Godmother, but also, a different kind of prince. Kay described Nicholas' Prince Charming as more of the "beta" in the story, while Cinderella is "the alpha."

"That's not normally the case," Kay said. "In this story, everybody around Cinderella learns something from her and changes."

OK, who wants to come to my place for a Cinderella viewing and sing-along this fall? Also, I'm going to need a photo of Billy the Fairy Godmother ASAP, thanks.
