If you think John B and Sarah are couples goals (you know, aside from the whole being on the run thing), you clearly haven't seen Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes lately. Yup, the Outer Banks stars are dating in real life and their relationship is just as cute as it is on screen. September 16 2021:

Madelyn took to instagram stories to wish Chase a happy birthday. The OBX star turned 29 and Madelyn posted the cutest photos to celebrate. Her stories read, "Happiest birthday to you, nerd" when played all together.She also posted a video of Chase jumping on to a big pillow and he responded joking, "Thank you for exposing my bedtime routine," on his Instagram Story.

July 21, 2021:

Chase and Madelyn revealed their first impressions of each other to Access. Madelyn said that when she first met Chase, "He was in a really bad mood. Kinda bratty," to which Chase said that Madelyn was "confused with" him.

May 17, 2021:

Madelyn and Chase attended the MTV Movie & TV Awards with the rest of the Outer Banks cast. The couple won the night's award for Best Kiss and celebrated the occasion with an onstage smooch.


April 4, 2021:

Madelyn celebrated her one-year anniversary with Chase with a sweet Instagram post. "Thanks for helping me keep track of my belongings for a whole year (: adore u," she wrote, sharing shots of Chase and his dog, Milo.

Chase shared his own photo for the occasion. "365 w/ u ❤️," he captioned a photo of the actress, "And I'd do it again," Madelyn commented.

February 3, 2020:

Chase revealed to Us Weekly that his relationship with Madelyn didn't really blossom until after they finished filming the show and they were in quarantine.

"At that point in time, we were so anxious about the show and so nervous about constantly screwing up. I think we were all under this sort of strange umbrella of, like, 'Dear God, we got an opportunity. Let’s not screw it up!' So, it was just always work-oriented—really until the day we wrapped," he explained. "It wasn’t until after that, until we started to kind of get into the lockdown where we were like, ‘Is there something here or am I crazy?" That’s sort of where it bloomed from there. I think we were just so invested in the work."

December 21, 2020:

Chase shared the sweetest post in honor of Madelyn's 23rd birthday. "It’s quite rare to meet somebody and feel everything change," he wrote in the caption of the Instagram, which featured photos of the couple. "Thank you for making the coldest days warm, for your infectious love, and being the best dog mom to Lil mi. Happy birthday sweet thang you make my heart warm and fuzzy 25/8."

November 10, 2020:

Madelyn spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her relationship with Chase and their decision to initially keep things private. "The show coming out was already a pretty big life change, and we were also just starting the whole quarantine process, and that’s a huge life change and going through a global pandemic," she said. "I think we just wanted to kind of give it some time and enjoy it while it’s new and fresh and just kind of keep that to ourselves."

The actress was then asked if she's in love, to which she responded, "Yeah, it’s really cool. Love is tight. It’s cool to share this experience with your favorite people and also your favorite person...I feel very happy."

September 17, 2020:

Madelyn and Chase starred in the music video for Kygo's song, "Hot Stuff." In the video, the pair play a couple who enjoy a night of dancing together and, yes, Chase does take his shirt off at one point.

September 16, 2020:

Madelyn took to Instagram to celebrate Chase's 28th birthday. She shared various photos of her and the actor with the caption, "🍍."

June 14, 2020:

Chase and Madelyn went public with their relationship in June 2020 when Chase shared a photo of the pair enjoying a romantic beach picnic together. "Cats outta the bag ❤️," he captioned the post, to which Madelyn responded, "I've fallen and I can't get up."

April 15, 2020:

Outer Banks season one started streaming on Netflix and fans immediately fell in love with Sarah and John B. This is also when rumors of a possible relationship between Madelyn and Chase began to form. The two actors had the same background for an interview with E! News, leading many to assume they were living together. They later confirmed that they were quarantining together, along with their other cast mates, Drew Starkey and Rudy Pankow.

Chase later told Us Weekly that quarantining together was an "immediate test" for their relationship. "It’s like, 'Hey, you’re dating. Guess what? Figure it out. You’re stuck.'"
