Outer Banks season 2 came in hot this year, but this season fans went into the show knowing that the chemistry between John B and Sarah was 100 percent legit since Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline were dating IRL. In other words, everyone really read into those rain-soaked smooches. But we probs won't be able to in the future since (1) season 3 of Outer Banks still isn't official yet, and (2) Maddie and Chase have broken up 😭😭😭.

Filming begins on Outer Banks season 1, and Chase and Madelyn’s chemistry is off the charts. As Madelyn tells Seventeen, “There were things that Chase and I specifically added to the script that felt personal. You have to sell it. It’s got to be compelling. Thankfully, the cast all clicked and we had such great chemistry, so we all had this friendship from the very beginning. So building on that and then projecting it on the screen felt very, very real.”

So before the show came out, we were all together, and then the show came out and we kinda got to experience this all coming to life together, which was really cool.”

The couple’s costar Jonathan Daviss hits the comments with, “Well it’s about time,” while Madelyn writes, “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.”

Uh oh...celeb Instagram page DeuxMoi posted that Chase and Madelyn allegedly broke up and that he was already seen at a party flirting with another girl. BUT, this is all just talk right now and rumors, so take it with a rather large grain of salt. If something gets confirmed either way, we'll have the tea for you ASAP. Until then, don't go getting married to this update since it is just a rumor at this point.

Sadly, it turns out that those DeuxMoi rumors were true after all—Chase and Madelyn ended their 'ship months ago at this point.
"They are definitely broken up," a source told People. Another insider echoed the statement, adding, "Madelyn and Chase are no longer together. They were trying to work things out privately but broke up a couple of months ago."
The former couple was together for more than a year. Sigh.
