Charli D'Amelio is taking to TikTok to address recent rumors that her parents force her to post on social media. The 16-year-old got real in comments captured by the Instagram account TikTokRoom.

"I am so fortunate to have such amazing parents and when people spread fake hurtful and false rumors about my family I have to put my foot down," she wrote on Monday. "I have an amazing dad and family who have never hurt or have taken advantage of me ever please stop spreading these lies. If I am not in the mood to post I don't no one is forcing me my parents care about my mental health more than anything."

It's unclear exactly what lead fans to speculate that Charli is being forced to post on TikTok. If you take a look at the comments on her recent videos, though, you see many people commenting on Charli's seemingly low energy.

"Is it just me who thinks she doesn't look happy?" one person asked on a video of Charli curling her hair while lip syching to "Falling" by Trevor Daniel. "Just me or does it look like she's sad or being forced," said another.

We all know that curling your hair can be a super mundane task, so the fact that Charli isn't all smiles and dancing around while using the curler is totally understandable. Most likely, Charli is having a chill few weeks like everyone in the world right now, staying home, going to online school, and trying to stay sane through it all. I don't blame her for not always being all smiles, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's being forced to do anything.
