Disneyland fans, I hope you're ready because Character Dining is making the comeback you've been waiting for. Though the Disneyland park has been back open since April (after more than a year-long hiatus due to the onset of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic), Character Dining experiences didn't reopen with it. Now, though, it's coming back at both Disneyland Resort's Plaza Inn for Minnie and Friends Breakfast and Disney's Grand California Hotel & Spa for Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast at Storytellers Café.
For those of you ready to dine with Mickey and his wonderful crew at the Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast, things have been back in order since July 22. Guests can indulge in a buffet-style variety of classic eats such as the Mickey waffles and buttermilk pancakes for breakfast or an assortment of pastries for brunch all while the famous crew entertains you from a distance.
Minnie and Friends Breakfast at Plaza Inn, however, does not reopen its doors until August 12 and will also include modifications to reflect safe dining. And while we are still waiting to see what the menu and hours for the experience will look like, Disneyland Parks state that reservations are expected to open soon.
If you've visited Disney World in Orlando, FL, already, however, the return of Character Dining may be of no surprise. Back in May of this year, the meet-and-greet experience was resumed, albeit a few changes to make things safer. Additionally, both parks highly recommend making a reservation for your spot and relay that guests who have "confirmed theme park reservations and tickets for the same park can make dining reservations on the same date 60 days in advance."
Unfortunately for those of you who are fans of the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure at Disney's Grand California Hotel & Spa or Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel, there hasn't been any information about when to expect the Character Dining experience to resume. Here's hoping for soon!
