We Challenged Binging With Babish's Andrew Rea To The Ultimate Cooking Trivia Quiz
It's not every day we get to create a video with YouTube megastar Binging With Babish's Andrew Rea, so when we got the chance, we knew exactly what we were going to do: challenge Andrew to the ultimate cooking quiz against our very own Budget Eats queen, June Xie.
Andrew Rea has created a super-fan following by recreating iconic foods from TV shows and movies—if you haven't watched one yet, we highly suggest his most popular video of all time, recreating the ratatouille dish (which is actually confit byaldi, Andrew explains) from Disney's Ratatouille. Andrew's deep, soothing voice and sharp cooking skills will make you forget about (almost) all of your problems, so we thought, let's see if we can shake this seemingly unshakeable chef with cooking trivia.
It's the ultimate non-cooking competition show where two chefs must answer 10 not-so-basic cooking questions that get increasingly harder each round like, "Why is white chocolate white? Which cookware is reactive? What's the official name of the pack date on egg cartons?" Don't get us wrong; we'd love to tell you the answers, but isn't that the whole point of watching the video on YouTube?
Of course, whoever has the most correct answers at the end wins. What do they win, you may ask? Nothing but YouTube glory and pride. Maybe we'll make stickers one day—who is to say!
