Celine Tam wants to focus on school for now

13 Oct - Despite not winning "America's Got Talent", Hong Kong's 11-year-old talent Celine Tam continues to be busy with her public appearances - the latest being the launch event of the children fashion brand, MONNALISA.

As reported on Mingpao, the young star recently modelled for the brand with younger sister Dion, and was even given the chance to join the ribbon cutting with MONNALISA brand CEO.

"I'm not nervous at all," said Celine, when asked by the media at the event. "My sister is doing fine too. My parents and I have been teaching her how to pose and give flying kisses. It's not as hard as joining a singing competition."

The 11-year-old also said that she is interested in joining more competitions, but that she will focus on school for the meantime.

"Right now, I spend most of my time doing homework after school. No singing," she said.

As for reports that there is a proposal to ban children from joining "America's Got Talent" in future seasons, Celine admitted her surprise and expressed her disagreement, saying that anybody should be able to participate as long as they have a talent to show.

However, the young singer stated that she will not force Dion to join such competitions, though she will teach her sister to sing if that's what Dion wants.
