Celine Dion Shares Rare Instagram Post Amid Ongoing Health Issues

Celine Dion recently broke her social media silence to share a dedicated post to Queen Elizabeth II.

Despite her recent medical concerns, Dion is optimistic about her return to the stage in 2023.
Celine Dion has been noticeably absent from social media since her last Instagram post in June. The 54-year-old announced in April that she would be canceling her European tour dates due to health concerns. But since then, she’s been rather quiet on Instagram. Now, the beloved singer is breaking her silence to pay homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
“Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was such a graceful, elegant, woman of extraordinary kindness. She dedicated her life to public service, tirelessly helping others in need,” the singer wrote. “She truly was an inspiration of strength and dignity for so many, and her loss will be deeply felt throughout the world…we will all miss her.”
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer closed on a more personal note: “My sincere condolences to The Royal Family and to everyone who loved and cherished her. Celine xx…”
Fans rushed to the comments section, thanking her for her kind words and sharing their thoughts and prayers. Many also conveyed concerns for the singer’s health and hopes that Dion’s medical concerns would soon resolve. One commenter said it best: “From one queen to another.”
Fans have been waiting patiently to hear from Dion amid her recent health battles. While she originally kept her fans on top of her movements and how she was feeling, she’s been noticeably absent from social media in recent months.
Towards the end of last year, Dion made a heartbreaking Instagram post regarding her health and how her medical concerns were not allowing her to move forward with her Las Vegas residency.
And then again at the start of 2022, fans rallied around the singer after her press team announced that her Courage World Tour had been canceled due to unforeseen medical symptoms. According to a press release from that time, she had been treated for severe and persistent muscle spasms which were preventing her from performing, and that her recovery was taking longer than she hoped.”
Although canceling the shows was a disappointment, the mother of three looked ahead to the future with optimism.
“I was really hoping that I’d be good to go by now, but I suppose I just have to be more patient and follow the regimen that my doctors are prescribing,” she said in a statement. “I’ll be so glad to get back to full health, as well as all of us getting past this pandemic, and I can’t wait to be back on stage again. Meanwhile, I’ve been very touched by all the words of encouragement that everyone’s been sending to me on social media. I feel your love and support and it means the world to me.”
Fortunately, there is still some hope on the horizon for Dion’s devoted followers, as European fans of the singer should finally get to see her on the stage in 2023.
Celine recently announced the new dates for her Courage tour in Europe, with the leg kicking off in Prague on February 24th and continuing till October of next year.
While there is no news as of yet on the American leg of her tour or her Las Vegas shows, fans of the singer can rest assured that given time to recover, she will be back to owning the stage and entrancing the audience as she has always done before. Our hearts will go on, Celine!
