Celebrity Nail Artist Tom Bachik Creates Selena Gomez “Rare” Nail Art

Selena Gomez and her fans have had a lot to celebrate this week. The singer-songwriter released her third studio album, Rare, on Friday, January 10, along with the title track’s music video, and later that day, she gave us red carpet magic at the premiere of her new film, Dolittle. And thanks to celeb nail artist, Tom Bachik, we are all #blessed with an inspiring way to show our love for Sel right there on our fingertips.

Bachik, known for his ‘gram-worthy looks on celebs such as Selena, Lana Condor, and J. Lo, posted a snap of Rare-themed nail art to celebrate Sel’s brand-new album drop. The pic shows off pearly white nails with the letters R-A-R-E spelled out in thick, black print. And it seems as though Selena was pretty into the look (not to mention the shoutout), humbly commenting “STOP!!!” on the nail artist’s post.

Selena and Bachik have worked together for a while, and he even designed the glittery nails she sported in the Rare music video. According to another IG post, the singer rocked soft, medium-length oval nails finished off with “a holographic sparkle.” In yet another photo, Bachik shared Selena’s snowy white manicure from the Dolittle premiere. “Winter White to Compliment Pretty & Pink,” he wrote, noting that she was wearing a dazzling white shade by The Gel Bottle.

If you’re interested in trying out Selena’s wintery looks (or recreating Bachik’s Rare tribute for yourself), check out some of our suggestions below. Don’t forget to tag Sel in your posts — you never know, she might give them a double-tap.
