Shoe designer Sarah Flint (who you may remember created some of Meghan Markle's most stylish flats, sandals, and boots) just got married! Flint and her husband, investment banker Sean Beresini, settled on a small DIY family ceremony in Buzzards Bay, MA, in late November. The couple's original date was last June, but COVID safety measures inspired a re-creation of their special day, all peppered with design details by Flint herself. She painted watercolor flowers on the menus and arranged the arch that Sean built himself; the bouquet and boutonniere also came courtesy of the creative bride. But of course, Sarah is known for her shoes, and she dreamed them up during the planning process. "I wore the same dress, shoes, and accessories that I had planned for a much larger wedding, and I wouldn't have done it any other way." "The [Parker] shoes were inspired by the overall theme [of my original wedding], which was English Countryside. When designing, I knew I wanted the shoes to be very romantic, have a vintage feel, and be super comfortable so it would be easy to be on my feet all night. Sketch after sketch, I finally decided on a D'Orsay heel in white satin, with polka-dot mesh topped with handmade leather flowers, and of course I included our special Sarah Flint features, like arch support and extra padding. Originally, I was only going to create the one pair, but once we received the first sample of the shoe at our office, everyone loved it so much and thought the style was too beautiful to only have one. So, we decided to do a limited release after my wedding for future brides," Flint told POPSUGAR. Image Source: Sarah Flint Flint's spotlight-deserving heels are available for $575 (though you can finance them - yay!) and they definitely helped her carry out her vision, which she recommended brides stick to, even if their venue changes due to unforeseen circumstances. "Don't give up on your dream look just because your ceremony may have been downsized. I wore the same dress, shoes, and accessories that I had planned for a much larger wedding, and I wouldn't have done it any other way. I think brides always have a vision on what they want to look like on their wedding day, and no matter how big or small the wedding, you should always go with your vision as much as you can." For Flint, that vision also included a Reem Acra gown that came with a custom sash and buttons. Sarah bought extra fabric from Acra and designed her own regal-looking coat to match!
