Celebrities are constantly involved in these indescribable whirlwinds of love, hate, lust, and drama. We've outlined some of the most outrageous love stories destined to make you happy you're not in the public eye.

Before Veronica Mars and her comedian husband became everyone's absolute favorite couple, Dax actually broke up with her (and she says she never lets him forget it). "He sat me down and said, 'I can't have this right now. I think you're wonderful, but I am still dating other people,'" Bell told Popsugar. "And then I, like, liquefied and fell to the ground, but I felt incredibly respected that he had the balls to tell me we weren't in the same place." Dax quickly realized he made a huge mistake. The pair got married in 2013 and now have two children.

Apparently, Legend once attempted to break up with Chrissy, but she didn’t allow it to happen. "I was really stressed and busy," Legend told The Guardian. "I was just like, 'I'd just be happier single right now.'" Teigen tweeted in response to John’s reveal and said she was simply calling John on his bullshit. "It wasn't a typical breakup," she wrote. "He was on tour and his voice hurt and he was being a whiny face about everything and so yeah, I was like 'no.'"

The Maroon 5 singer and Victoria’s Secret model actually broke up in 2013 after dating nearly a year. Levine even began dating another model, Sports Illustrated’s Nina Agdal. But he and Behati eventually got back together so that she and their daughter Dusty Rose could steal our hearts in his music videos.

In the most romantic reconciliation ever, JT and JB started dating in 2007 but broke up in March of 2011. In a Vanity Fair interview that June, Justin revealed how much he missed Jess, saying, “She is the single-handedly most significant person in my life. Wade opened up about their relationship on The Tonight Show. “We kind of took a step back. We supported each other, but we took a step back for a little while. We all know our favorite Game of Thrones couple is now happily married, but back in 2012, they broke up after dating briefly. Two years later, they rekindled their love and have since not been shy about PDA. They got engaged in 2017 and were married in June one year later.

Scott moved on with a long line of young models (we'll get to Sofia Richie later), and Kourtney has since married Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

The Weeknd can (probably) thank Justin Bieber for his reconciliation with model Bella Hadid. After Bella and The Weeknd broke up in 2016, he began dating Selena Gomez. When Sel broke it off with the singer to be with Justin, he was spotted leaving Hadid’s NYC apartment.

As we all know, the two are no longer together. In fact, fans spotted quite the line in one of his latest songs called "Here We Go... Again." It involves him hinting that Bella is "basic" and suggesting he had a thing with Angelina Jolie.

Captain America and Mona Lisa Saperstein started dating after filming the movie Gifted. They broke up due to “conflicting schedules” after a year together only to get back together just a few months later. They broke up again (because once wasn’t enough), which Evans confirmed to the New York Times in March 2018.

The Last Song co-stars ended their engagement in 2011, but they got back together in 2016, which was confirmed by Miley wearing the same rock he gave her in 2012. Two years after their 2020 divorce, Miley called their marriage a "f–king disaster" onstage at one of her shows.

The actress and Victoria Beckham’s son began dating in 2014 and were pretty much on-and-off ever since. They were confirmed to be off for good after Brooklyn was spotted making out with a Playboy model in August 2018. Years later, he went on to marry actress Nicola Peltz.

Scott shocked the world in 2017 when he started dating Sofia Richie. But it was no shocker that the duo was as on-again/off-again as Scott and Kourtney were. Rumors of a breakup spread after The Lord was spotted with an unidentified woman in June 2018, but the couple announced they were not actually broken up, via, of course, their Instagram stories. Only the second Kardashian on our list (surprisingly), Rob and Chyna’s hot mess of a relationship was laid out for us on their E! show Rob and Chyna. Rob met Kylie’s then-boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend (it’s confusing) in 2016 via Kim and Kanye. All seemed well with the couple after the birth of their daughter Dream in November 2016 until the couple broke up just one month later. They then went back and forth from being completely infatuated with each other to screaming at the top of their lungs. It’s (probably) safe to say they’re off for-good after a non-stop string of lawsuits filed against each other.

Another tale of co-star love: The American Horror Story duo began dating in 2012 but ended things in 2013 when Roberts was arrested for allegedly attacking Peters, only to reconcile and get engaged the following year. Since 2014, they have been engaged, broken up, back together, broken up again, back together again, and finally broke up for good. Emma's since moved on with Garrett Hedlund, and they welcomed son Rhodes in 2020.

As the "It" couple of Old Hollywood, everyone's eyes were always on these two. To sum up all the drama: They met on set in 1962, divorced their partners and married in 1964, spent a decade arguing, divorced in 1974, remarried in 1975, and separated again that same year.
