Celebrate and learn about environmental issues affecting Bakersfield at the ‘Kern River Parkway Festival’

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Community members are invited to celebrate the Kern River May 18th at the Park at River Walk.

The Kern River Parkway Foundation and Bring Back the Kern will be hosting the Kern River Parkway Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. next Saturday. You can expect educational and family friendly activities, music, raffle, beer garden and vendor booths.

Campus protests over Israel-Hamas War come to Bakersfield’s Cal State campus

Bring Back the Kern is a volunteer organization made up of Bakersfield residents who advocate to improve the ecological and physical health of Bakersfield by running a regular flow of water down the Kern River.
