CBD is everywhere — it’s in dog treats, serums, and even lattes. It’s only logical that you can find it in products specifically made for the most relaxing activity of all: Bathtime!

If you don’t want to deal with oils, we got you covered: CBD can be found in specially-marked bath bombs and salts, too.

Melissa Parker, the founder of CBD shop Reed's Remedies, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that CBD bath bombs are a popular starter product for those interested in using the substance. She adds that while your skin won’t absorb a ton of the CBD included in the product, “there is a lot of therapeutic value in soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salt, cannabinoids (CBD), and essential oils all packed in a pretty fizzy orb.”

According to Harvard Health Publishing, CBD contains none of the things in marijuana that make you high. Rather, the cannabidoil can ease pressures and pains throughout your body. Parker and other experts agree that combining CBD oil with a generally soothing and entertaining practice like using a bath bomb or salts can relax the mind and body.

Dr. Patricia Frye, the Chief Medical Officer at HelloMD (a community of licensed, board-certified cannabis and CBD doctors, educators, patients, and consumers), tells Yahoo Lifestyle that CBD bath bombs and soaks also can moisturize the skin as well as calm the user.

Additionally, Frye adds that topical CBD treatments are “great for joint pain and muscle spasms, and using a salve or balm to those specific areas can result in significant symptom relief.”

For those who want to try out the CBD products during their bath time, Parker advises finding bombs and salts with at least 50mg of CBD included. She also recommends bath bombs that use essential oils rather than fragrances, to avoid any skin reaction to the ingredients. To be safe, a quick rinse after a CBD soak can get rid of any residue lingering on your skin.
