The world followed Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra's story when they first appeared on 16 and Pregnant many years ago. We watched the couple go through ups and downs, including giving their daughter up for adoption and struggling to keep their relationship together.
Since then, the couple has married and had another daughter. But could they be expanding their brood? Is Catelynn Lowell pregnant?
Last week, she posted a cryptic photo on Instagram that said “Can’t wait to share our big news with ya’ll!!” in a rainbow font.
Will the announcement be that she and Tyler are pregnant again? Or after suffering a miscarriage earlier this year, which was documented on Teen Mom OG, did the trauma from that put her off to having more children?
While coping with the loss, Catelynn became suicidal saying, “If they [Tyler and their daughter] weren’t around, I probably would’ve offed myself. Seriously. I’m sure a lot of people can relate. It’s like I don’t want to live another day like this.” She later checked into a rehab center.
But now that she has her mind together, does this mean she’s ready to have another child? The couple has openly discussed having more children, with Tyler expressing interest in expanding their little family. Back in December on an episode of Teen Mom OG, Tyler told her he wanted to try for more children.
She responded jokingly, “You would like to be surprised with the next one? Okay, got you. Okay.”
But things turned serious afterward when she expressed her fears about becoming pregnant again. She struggled with postpartum depression after the birth of their daughter, NovaLee. “It’s a daily fight in my mind to not be afraid of postpartum [depression]. I can’t let my mind stop me from one of the most amazing things ever,” she told Tyler.
Would her postpartum depression be the reason she wouldn’t want to try again? While the MTV star hasn’t yet revealed her announcement, fans are already speculating that she is, indeed, pregnant, calling it her “rainbow baby,” which is what a child conceived after a miscarriage is called. But other fans weren’t so quick to jump the gun, debating whether or not the couple is getting a spin-off or their own show.
We’ll just have to wait and see if the couple is actually expecting a child, or if they tugged at our heartstrings yet again.
