As a cat parent, I constantly struggle to find space. Unlike dog parents, who can get away with placing a dog bed and some toys in a spare corner, cats (and their stuff) take up a ton of room. My cat’s litter box, for example, takes up half my bathroom. Her cat trees — she has more than one — are almost as big as my apartment. She also has multiple scratching posts, beds and, of course, toys — and those little catnip-filled mice litter my apartment like Legos.

In an effort to save space and de-clutter, I decided to get her a two-in-one: a cat scratcher that doubles as a bed. Namely, the Necoichi Cat Head Scratcher Bed — and this thing has honestly changed my life (and hers, too). Plus, it’s on sale for just $30 — $7 off the original price of $37.

The bed, adorably shaped like a cat head, is made entirely of cardboard: perfect for her to sink her claws into. It’s large enough for her to curl up in, too. Each part is safe for your precious kitty, down to the non-toxic glue used to assemble it.

Perfect for cardboard lovers

Every cat parent knows how much kitties love stray cardboard boxes. This is a safe way for Romeo to get the thrill of a new box to play in — except this bed is a way more durable, safer and isn’t a complete eyesore, like most other kitty scratchers.

“This is an amazing product. My cat loves all things cardboard so I knew he would love this,” one shopper shared. “I love that it is large enough for him not to feel cramped. He sleeps in this each night beside my bed. In fact, he actually prefers sleeping in this over my bed a lot of the time!”

A must for klutzy cats

If you constantly have to play Superman to save your cat from taking a tumble, this scratcher is the perfect antidote.

“Our guy isn't that big — 12 pounds — but he's an unbelievable klutz and tips over or falls off every other scratcher we've gotten him before,” one shopper noted. “Even the ones supposedly for large cats. This one is perfect. No tipping, no matter what a doofus he is. I can't speak to its durability, as we've only had it for a little over a day, but he already loves it.”

Picky cats adore it

Does your cat seemingly hate all the expensive toys and beds you buy? According to multiple reviewers, this bed might just be the antidote to pickiness:

“Win-win! My cat started circling around it, scratching at it as soon as I unwrapped it,” the shopper shared. “He usually doesn’t pay mind to toys or even the fluffy bed I purchased for him, but he seems to love this. Scratching post + bed? Why not?!”

“I can't get my cat out of this: sleep, play, scratch; she loves it!” another added. “Would recommend this for any cat over 12 pounds; room to roll around, play and scratch their chins without warping the bed.”
