The Cast of 'Yellowjackets' Leaned Into Black Tie at the Season Two Premiere

Apparently formalwear and the woods make a nice pairing.

The hit Showtime series "Yellowjackets" captivated audiences with its gripping storyline and ultra-talented cast. Now, the show's coming back for more, with season two premiering on March 26.

The cast came together on Wednesday to celebrate the new episodes on the red carpet. Stars like Sophie Nélisse, Melanie Lynskey and Ella Purnell opted for suiting-inspired looks, while others went for a more classic approach to evening wear, such as a halterneck Fendi dress on Christina Ricci and a sunshine yellow bustier gown with matching opera gloves on Nia Sondaya.

When it comes to the show's costumes, intention is everything: Marie Schley and Caroline B. Marx, who designed the first season, told Fashionista in early 2022 that Easter Eggs, as well as nature- and survival-themed clues, were sprinkled throughout the characters' wardrobes, foreshadowing plot points.

With a recurring theme of suiting, big shoulders and dark colors on the premiere's carpet, it only makes us wonder if that theme is a hint in itself. For all the looks, scroll through below.
