Before they became our favorite vampires in What We Do in the Shadows, these actors were making us laugh in a bunch of other shows and movies, sometimes without us even seeing their faces!

Matt Berry Then vs. Now
Then: Our beloved Laszlo (aka Jackie Daytona) has lots of experience being a regular human, and even more being a comedic actor. He was all over BBC and Channel 4 in the early 2000s, appearing in The Mighty Boosh, The IT Crowd (pictured above), and Snuff Box, for which he composed all the music. He also wrote and composed all the music for Toast of London and AD/BC: A Rock Opera.
Now: Aside from being our favorite (horny) vampire in What We Do in the Shadows, Matt Berry currently stars in The Book of Boba Fett, voicing 8D8 as well as Disenchantment, voicing Prince Merkimer. He's also the lead in a new BBC show, Toast of Tinseltown, which also stars his WWDITS castmate Natasia Demetriou.
Natasia Demetriou Then vs. Now
Then: Before she was Nadja, Natasia Demetriou appeared in comedy skits alongside her brother, Jamie Demetriou (who you might recognize from Fleabag!) in the TV miniseries Jamie Demetriou: Channel 4 Comedy Blaps.
Now: A skit from that same comedy show was developed into its own show, Stath Lets Flats, which she stars in with her brother. She also appeared in the Netflix film Eurovision as Nina, and is starring in a new show with Matt Berry, Toast of Tinseltown.
Kayvan Novak Then vs. Now
Then: I know, it's weird to see Nandor without the long hair and beard. Back in 2007, Kayvan Novak had his own show on Channel 4, Fonejacker, though the role kept his face hidden most of the time. Then in 2010, he had a large role in the film Four Lions, starring as Waj. He also had a couple of guest roles on shows like Skins (UK) and Sirens.
Now: When he's not Nandor, Novak voices multiple characters on Archer, and he also appeared in Cruella as Roger. Plus—you guessed it—he's also starring inToast of Tinseltown alongside Berry and Demetriou!
Harvey Guillén Then vs. Now
Then: In 2010, Harvey starred in the ABC Family show Huge alongside Nikki Blonsky. He also starred in the 2013 movie The Internship as Zach. You also may have caught him in The Thundermans as Blobbin!
Now: Like his WWDITS costar Kayvan Novak, Harvey also voices a character on Archer. He's also known for playing George on Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and he starred in the yet-to-be-released sci-fi dramedy I'm Totally Fine.
Mark Proksch Then vs. Now
Then: If Colin Robinson looked familiar, it's because you know him as Nate from The Office, the bumbling character who worked in the warehouse and performed a few odd jobs. Mark Proksch has also guest-starred in a few familiar shows, like New Girl, Portlandia, and Modern Family.
Now: Aside from being the resident energy-draining vampire on WWDITS, Colin Robinson is known for his role as Daniel 'Pryce' Wormald on Better Call Saul, and has more recently appeared in Dream Corp LLC as well as voicing a character in the animated HBO Max series Ten Year Old Tom.
Kristen Schaal Then vs. Now
Then: Kristen Schaal has been acting since 2001, but her first big role was as Margaret in the TV series Horrible People in 2008. Shortly after, she starred as Mel in Flight of the Conchords. But you've also seen her in Glee, Modern Family, Broad City, Mad Men, and How I Met Your Mother, to name a few.
Now: Schaal stars in WWDITS as the Guide with the Vampiric Council, but besides that, you may hear her more than you see her. She's been voicing Louise on Bob's Burgers since the show's inception, and she voiced Sarah Lynn in BoJack Horseman as well as Mabel in Gravity Falls.
Beanie Feldstein Then vs. Now
Then: Beanie Feldstein had her first TV role as a guest star on My Wife and Kids in 2002. From there, she appeared in a couple of TV movies like Madison High and Fan Girl.
Now: Beanie has been busy. Before starring as the innocent LARPer turned vampire Jenna in WWDITS, she played Nora in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Julie in Lady Bird, and Molly in Booksmart. More recently, she portrayed Monica Lewinsky in American Crime Story: Impeachment and voiced Harriet in the new animated Harriet the Spy series. Next up — starring as the next Fanny Brice in the first-ever revival of Funny Girl on Broadway.
Doug Jones Then vs. Now
Then: Doug Jones has been acting since the '90s, appearing in some childhood faves like Hocus Pocus, Tales From the Crypt, and Kenan and Kel. He also entered our nightmares as both El Fauno and the Pale Man in Pan's Labyrinth, so the Baron isn't the first creepy-looking role he's taken on.
Now: Jones plays the iconic Baron on WWDITS; he recently appeared in Better Things, where he played an actor playing a monster, and he's set to appear as Count Orlok in the forthcoming Nosferatu, so yeah, he's got a thing for creepy roles. He's also reprising his character Billy Butcherson for the much anticipated Hocus Pocus 2.
Anthony Atamanuik Then vs. Now
Then: Anthony Atamanuik got his start doing improv at the UCB Theatre in New York. He appeared in a few episodes of 30 Rock later on as a background and supporting actor.
Now: We know him as the vampires' neighbor Sean in WWDITS, but he's also recently appeared in Search Party. And he's pretty well known for portraying Donald Trump in a number of shows, including The President Show, Toast of London, Urban Myths, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Tracey Breaks the News, and The Daily Show.
