The tight-knit cast of the hit show Outer Banks has no problem having one another’s backs in real life. “As time has progressed and as we’ve been on this journey together, our relationship continues to get more in-depth and has become less of a friendship and more of a family,” says Chase Stokes. We challenged the whole cast to a friendship test and, as expected, they killed it.

The first exercise: a compliment battle. When asked what he admires most about cast member Rudy Pankow, Jonathan Daviss had no problem spilling Pankow’s best qualities. “He has a way of spiking the energy up,” says Davis. Chase Stokes, who plays John B. on Outer Banks, also admires Pankow’s vibrant spirit. “Rudy has an infectious personality and always brings a laugh to the room,” says Stokes.

Madelyn Cline, who plays Sarah Cameron on the Netflix drama, was overwhelmed by the love her friends floated her way during this challenge. “I’m blushing!” she exclaims. “It’s wonderful. It’s nice to know that the love that I have for all of these people is also reciprocated in the same ways.” The actor returned the sentiment and paid a beautiful compliment to her costar Madison Bailey. “She’s an incredible listener and an amazing friend,” says Cline. “When you need to talk, she’s gonna be there.”

“This is overstimulating,” says Bailey, getting emotional over the nice things her friends and castmates have to say about her. “I love all these people so much. I’m so overwhelmed with love for you guys right now.” There is clearly so much warmth and adoration between all the stars of Outer Banks, and we love to see it. Watch the niceties continue with cast members Chase Stokes, Jonathan Daviss, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, and Rudy Pankow in the video above.
