Carrie Underwood shared another post-accident pic of her face before the 2018 ACM Awards, and she looks ready for a return

Carrie Underwood will perform at the Academy of Country Music Awards tonight, April 15th. And before rehearsal for the show, she shared another picture of her face post-accident. Click to read more.

In November, a devastating fall down the stairs outside her home left country star Carrie Underwood with more than 40 stitches in her face and a broken wrist. But luckily, after five months of brutal recovery, including surgery, Underwood is ready to make a comeback. Less than a week ago, on April 9th, she announced that she will be performing at the 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards today, April 15th. And now Underwood has shared a second post-accident selfie — and she looks more than ready to return to the stage.

Underwood, who will perform her new single “Cry Pretty” at tonight’s awards show, posted a photo to Instagram last night, April 14th, after rehearsing for the ACM Awards. The close-up selfie of the singer’s healing face showed her beaming with excitement, and she wrote that she was looking forward to her upcoming performance.

“Had a great rehearsal for the @acmawards! Can’t wait until tomorrow night! #CryPretty #ACMAwards,” Underwood captioned the photo.

In addition to the live debut of her newest song, there will be other opportunities for Underwood to shine at tonight’s awards. She is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, and her vocals on Keith Urban’s song “The Fighter” have netted her a nomination for Best Vocal Event.

Underwood is seriously glowing in her latest photo.

Though Underwood has kept her fans in the loop during her recovery, she has been a little less active on Instagram while she healed. After warning her fans that she might look a little different when she returned, the singer posted her first post-accident selfie on April 4th.

The ACM Awards will air tonight at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

We’re happy that Underwood has returned to live performances, and that she is well on the road to recovery. We can’t wait to listen to her new song and watch her make her return to the stage.
