Carrie Underwood sets first live TV appearance since 'gruesome' accident

Carrie Underwood fans are thrilled today! The country singer posted a cryptic message on social media that many think is brand new music, plus she’s got a performance at the ACM awards this Sunday. This will be the first time she’s shown her face since her gruesome accident in November.

To back it up a bit, Carrie has been out out of the spotlight for months after a freak accident at her house last year. She revealed she had 40-50 stitches in her face, and has concealed it on social media up until recently. She posted two photos last week but one was only the left side of her face, and the other was taken from a distance.

But Carrie is ready for a comeback. The singer shared a photo on social media that many think is new music – and they have good reason to think that! The Academy of Country Music Awards announced Carrie will be performing at this Sunday night’s award show.

Fans were certainly excited by all the good carrie news. The reaction gifs were very fitting.

Samantha wrote, “you have no idea how long I have been waiting for your new music.” Leda added, “we are just ready for you! We’ve missed you immensely.”

And of course, fans were supportive of Carrie finally showing her face, which she’s been very self conscious about. Tammy wrote, “you are a beautiful person inside and out. Appearance doesn’t make a person it’s what inside that does.”
