Carrie Underwood says she’s “a little more back to normal” in first TV interview since facial injury

In her first TV interview since her traumatic facial injury, Carrie Underwood talked to TODAY’s Hoda Kotb about what exactly happened - and why it was so scary. "It was kind of a freak accident," she said. "I just fell. I just tripped. Taking my dogs out to do their business." Carrie added that she was by herself when it happened, although her son was asleep upstairs. The injury resulted in 40 stitches around her mouth and a fractured wrist. She told Kotb that now, she's "a little more back to normal."
