We're here! The Oscars 2021! It's different. It's not like it usually is—considering there's no host, and ya know, we're still in a pandemic—but there's still a red carpet and the fashion has so far been...impeccable. Especially Academy Awards nominee Carey Mulligan who quite literally brightened up the entire atmosphere as soon as she arrived.

The actress, who is nominated for Best Actress for her stellar performance in Promising Young Woman, absolutely stunned in a sequined gold Valentino Couture ensemble that was truly jaw-dropping and even showed a lil skin with a well-placed cutout right front and center. She kept it simple with the accessories and just wore dazzling gold earrings for her jewelry.

Oh, and the back of her number is just as fab as the front, btw. Absolutely loving this moment for her!!

Carey also walked the carpet with her husband, Marcus Mumford (aka the lead singer of the band Mumford & Sons), by her side. He wore a classic black suit with a bowtie, in case you're interested. I mean, together they looked like a dream. Talk about a power celebrity couple, am I right?? This isn't the first that time that Carey has been nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards—last year she was in the running for her role in An Education.
