From ELLE

It's been almost a week since Nicki Minaj and Cardi B's fight at the Harper's Bazaar ICONS party. Two days ago, Minaj broke her silence on the whole thing, devoting her hours-long broadcast of Beats 1's Queen Radio on Apple Music to discussing her issues with Cardi B. Last night, Cardi returned to Instagram to hit back at some of Minaj's claims that she cheated her way to her top status.

A refresher: Minaj specifically said that Cardi "has built her career off of sympathy and payola." Payola is when a record company pays or gets a radio station to play an artist's music more without the radio's DJ disclosing to listeners that the station has received money (or whatever else) in exchange for playing the artist's music. It's illegal.

Cardi shared two Instagrams defending the merits of her success. First, she posted a top 10 list of 2018's best selling albums. "NUMBERS DONT FUCKIN LIE 🗣🗣🗣🗣" she wrote. Her album was on the list; Minaj's wasn't...though to be fair, Minaj's album just came out, and Cardi's was released in April.

Then she shared footage of her first tour, writing, "7/29/2016! NO LABEL ,NO RADIO PLAY,FRESH OUT OF LOVE AND HIP HOP,ONLY 200K IN MY BANK ACCOUNT ,MY FIRST TOUR !!!nobody can make you feel like you cheated yourself or you don’t deserve to be where you at when you KNOW YOU WORKED YOURSELF TO THE TOP !!! THANK YOU BARDIGANG !YOU BEEN HERE SINCE THE GET GO!"

Of course, Minaj hasn't responded directly to that, though she did retweet this video of praise for her impact on female rap:

Otherwise, she's just been Instagramming shots of herself at the Marc Jacobs show. Business as usual:
