Content warning: discussion of rape and misogyny.

Cardi B defended herself against *some guy* who thought it would be a good idea to compare her to the now widely-de-platformed noted misogynist Andrew Tate.

If you've been online recently, you may have noticed that this week Tate was banned from Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. A spokesperson for the latter told NPR, "Misogyny is a hateful ideology that is not tolerated on TikTok."

Andrew Tate

If you're wondering about Twitter, he was banned in 2017 for saying that rape victims "bear responsibility" and that women belong in the home. That's just the tip of the iceberg — Tate has compared women to dogs, admitted using women for financial gain and called them his "property," and said he dates teenagers so he can “make an imprint."

Anyway, some former UFC fighter decided to use his limited hours alive on this earth to tweet, "People are freaking out about young boys looking up to Andrew Tate but totally fine with young girls looking up to Cardi B and the Kardashians."

"Tate’s Main message is stop being lazy and making excuses and go work hard and get in shape and make money. Cardi’s Is go do drugs, fuck random men and go through life as a brain dead Moron," he followed up.

In a now-deleted tweet, Cardi herself responded by saying, "I'm married, I don't smoke weed, I don't pop pills, I don't do coke."

"I'm a mom of 2 kids and I do a lot of charity work…but hey let me put cardi into it to defend a man who defend misogyny and rape."

For what it's worth, Cardi shouldn't even have to defend herself here because, A) There's really nothing wrong with being a moron and fucking random men (trust me!), B) We already know that misogyny and mass violence are linked, so let's not even act like this is in the same ballpark.

I sincerely hope this is the last time I have to mention A****** T***.
