Cardi B Is Joining Vogue ’s Third Annual Forces of Fashion Summit in October

You’ve seen her rapping onstage, stripping on the big screen, and talking politics with Bernie Sanders on social media. Now, Cardi B is set to discuss all things Bardi at Vogue’s third annual Forces of Fashion conference on October 10 and 11.

The fiery, hit-making star, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, will sit down with Vogue creative director Sally Singer to discuss her monumental rise to fame over the last couple of years and what she plans to do next. In a panel titled “The Icon, Explained,” she’ll also discuss her ties to the fashion world, from donning a custom Thom Browne gown for this year’s Met Gala to sitting front row at some of the biggest runway shows in New York and Europe. In many ways, Cardi B represents a new generation of the self-made American Dream, rising from reality TV to the top of the Billboard charts, all while remaining unapologetically true to herself and her voice (which we hear loudly and proudly through her epic Instagram feed).

Cardi B joins an impressive roster at the summit, which includes a rare conversation with Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber, as well as a conversation between Donatella Versace and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour. Other designers participating include Grace Wales Bonner, Marine Serre, Tom Ford, Kim Jones, Olivier Rousteing, and more.

Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber are speakers at Vogue’s 2019 Forces of Fashion conference, October 10 and 11 in New York City; learn more and buy tickets, here.
