At Burberry’s show during London Fashion Week, Cara Delevingne cozied up to fellow It-Brits including Alexa Chung, Lily James, Nicholas Hoult, and others. While a majority of those on the front row opted for Burberry classics such as trench coats and printed minis, the model-turned-actress gave off major glam-goth vibes, pairing a low-cut velvet LBD with a dramatic cape. While her outfit was eye-catching, it was the 24-year-old’s makeup that really elevated the ensemble to an entirely different level.
What at first appeared to be a choker with an attached body chain was actually a strip of black paint stemming from Delevingne’s neck to above her bellybutton. The resulting body art was perplexing and inexplicable, but unique and risky, traits Delevingne consistently exudes in her style.
The bold black line wasn’t the only standout part of her beauty look (although it was definitely the most striking). Seemingly rocking a fresh spray tan, Delevingne’s skin was glowing, with highlighter on her cheeks only adding to this effect. Her eyes were equally as illuminating, partly thanks to her smudged eyeliner and black smoky eye. The Suicide Squad star’s signature bold eyebrows were also in top form (because seriously when are they not?) and her blonde lob was styled in a center part with light waves.
But the question remains: Can Cara Delevingne make cleavage makeup happen? If even just a few of 33.8 million Instagram followers emulate the look, you better believe she can.
