Vancouver Canucks goaltender Jacob Markstrom has been named to the 2020 NHL All-Star Game, joining the Pacific Division roster after Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury declined his invitation.

Markstrom has played some of the best hockey of his career during the 2019-20 season. He currently owns a 14-11-3 record to go along with a 2.72 goals-against-average and a .917 save percentage.

The goaltender will be joining teammate Elias Pettersson at the All-Star Game, giving the Canucks two representatives at the event. This will be Pettersson’s second appearance and Markstrom’s first.

With Fleury not attending the All-Star Game, the Golden Knights currently have no players representing them at the game but will have Gerard Gallant behind the bench for the Pacific Division.

The 2020 NHL All-Star Weekend occurs Jan. 24-25.
