Canucks' Leivo out 2-3 months with fractured kneecap
Vancouver Canucks head coach Travis Green announced on Saturday that forward Josh Leivo will be out for 2-3 months after fracturing his kneecap against the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday.

The hit was delivered by Vegas defenceman Nick Holden. Holden did not receive a penalty on the play, nor did the league offer any discipline for the infraction.
It seemed apparent almost instantly that Leivo was seriously hurt. On his way to the locker room after the collision, he smashed his stick.
Shortly after the incident, Holden scored for the Golden Knights, tying the game up at three midway through the second period. Vancouver downed Vegas 5-4 in overtime.
Leivo was enjoying a successful season with the Canucks prior to his injury. Averaging 15:01 ice-time per game, the 26-year-old was seeing fairly consistent run in Vancouver’s top-six. He has seven goals and 19 assists across 36 games this season.
