All New Cannondale Synapse Neo Endurance e-Bike
The all-new Cannondale Synapse Neo brings high-performance road endurance to the e-bike crowd. The new e-bike hopes to channel the successful Cannondale Synapse endurance-focused road bike with a lightweight design and a Bosch power system.
The cornerstone of the new Cannondale e-bike line is the Bosch Performance Line SX motor, the brand’s lightest e-bike motor to date. However, those in the U.S. will see the faster Bosch Performance Line Sprint which provides assist up to 28mph.
Cannondale Synapse Neo – What’s New?
The new Cannondale Synapse Neo takes the Synapse acoustic as a jumping-off point and tries to stay close to the original aesthetic.
The glaringly obvious (but not really that much) difference is the motor. Its Bosch Performance Line Sprint drive unit. This baby will do will do 28mph maxed out (US only – sorry Europe) and is said to maintain a natural pedaling feel.
The motor is smartly integrated into the carbon frame without drawing too much attention to the addition. The controls are neatly accessible to the rider via the top tube and a bar-mounted control. The Bosch head unit displays most motor operations, gear selection, and, most importantly, battery life.
If you’re looking to extend said battery life. You can do so fairly easy with an additional PowerMore 250Wh add-on battery that mounts to the seat tube.
Series 2 Carbon
The frame screams Cannondale, with a sleek, dark color palette and dropped seat stays, similar to the SuperSix Evo. The carbon frame is lightweight, Cannondale Series 2 carbon.
The Cannondale gear rounds out the build by adding its Conceal Stem, HollowGram carbon wheels, and Shimano electronic shifting, keeping things clean and quick.
For those who will use the Neo for commuting, it comes with mounts for a kickstand, fenders, and a rear rack.
