- American plus-size model
She appeared as the first plus-size model on the annual Pirelli calendar in 2015, posed alongside Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star Ashley Graham in Lane Bryant's viral #ImNoAngel campaign and co-starred in DNCE's "Cake by the Ocean" music video. But don't be surprised if you start seeing more of Candice Huffine - the 31-year-old beauty is joining IMG Models, the same agency that reps Graham, the Hadids and recently signed Hailey Baldwin.
The agency confirmed the news on Tuesday, as did Huffine, who took to her Facebook page to post her interview with Fashionista and added, "Excited to share!!!!"
Huffine, who was previously repped by Muse Management NYC, will be signed under IMG Model's "Curve" division. The modeling agency's decision to rep Huffine comes just one month after it announced the launch of its new plus-size male division called "Brawn," with Zach Miko as its first client.
As for Huffine, she already has quite the résumé. Not only has she fronted campaigns for major retailers (Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's and Marks & Spencer, to name a few), she also has posed for a number of fashion glossies including V magazine, Vogue Italia, CR Fashion Book and Vogue U.S. Huffine most recently hit the runway in Sophie Theallet's fall 2016 show.
Appearing in a campaign for Rachel Roy's new plus-size line, Huffine also penned a blog post for the designer's new website, in which she details her journey to becoming a model, starting at age 15.
"Inclusion, acceptance and appreciation of all people is the new norm in fashion. By flipping the script on 'standards,' we are singlehandedly raising up the next generations to see beauty in everyone," she wrote, adding, "This isn't just a curvy revolution, it's a change everyone can welcome."
