Canadian Ski Resort Wakes Up To 15+ Inch Storm
Fernie Alpine Resort, something of a sleeper hit up north, was just struck by a serious snowstorm.
Today, the resort announced they'd received 15+ inches of snow overnight.
Here's a look at the area surrounding the snowstake via Fernie's webcams.

Looking pretty wintry up there, right?
While we're still about a month out from Fernie's opening day -- December 2nd -- the fresh snowfall bodes well for the resort, which struggled with somewhat mediocre conditions last season.
Or, they struggled with mediocre conditions for most of this past winter. Somehow, someway, I managed to -- not intentionally, mind you -- time a trip up to Fernie right as a storm blew in.
During our stay, we caught a rope drop for Currie Bowl from the top of the White Pass Quad, hit a quick traverse, and dropped into Concussion on the far side of the bowl right as the morning sun was beaming the snow and trees with golden light. It was the best run I had last season.
Suffice to say, Fernie holds a special place in my heart. Here's to more snow heading in their direction.
