Campbell's Waldy Arias leaves game after being hit in helmet by pitch vs. Tennessee baseball

Campbell baseball second baseman Waldy Arias left in the 7th inning of Saturday's game against Tennessee baseball after being hit in the head by a Chase Burns pitch.

Arias was Burns' first batter faced of the game, as Campbell chased Kirby Connell with a 2-run home run earlier in the inning. Arias was hit by what was registered as a 96 MPH pitch on the second pitch of the at-bat. Arias laid on the ground, moving slowly, for a minute or two before getting to his feet and walking off the field slowly with help from a Campbell staff member.

Arias was replaced on the base paths by Bryce Arnold.

The Camels later struck out with the bases loaded to end the inning, down 7-6 to the Vols in the winner's bracket game of the Knoxville Regional.
