Camila Cabello Makes "Saturday Night Live" Debut

And her two performances couldn't have been more different.

Camila Cabello has officially joined the ranks of musical artists who have performed on Saturday Night Live. The singer-songwriter made her SNL debut on October 12, where she wowed the audience with two very different, yet equally mesmerizing, performances.

First, Camila channeled Marie Antoinette while performing “Cry For Me,” surrounded by an army of backup dancers in equally elaborate costumes. Decked out in a full red and pink gown, layers of pearls, and a towering wig, Camila belted out the lyrics while weaving through choreography involving chairs and a handheld fan. The entire performance felt more like a number from a Broadway show than an intimate concert, but the vibe was soon switched up when Camila returned to the stage later to sing “Easy.”

Gone were the backup dancers, the set pieces, and the pearl-adorned costumes. For her second performance, Camila sung the emotional ballad on a nearly bare stage, wearing a sleek cream-colored gown with thigh-high slits on each side. It couldn’t have been more different from what we saw earlier in the show, but judging from fan reactions on social media, it’s clear that Camila nailed both performances.

“If I didn’t already stan Camila Cabello, this performance right here would make me a stan!” one fan wrote about “Easy,” while another tweeted: “Camila Cabello really DID that. Wow. WOW.”

In addition to making her SNL debut, Camila has been hard at work on her upcoming album, Romance. During a recent interview on Lorraine, the singer-songwriter revealed that she’s extremely close to her latest album, explaining: “Every song is its own story.”

As for Camila’s take on her SNL performance, she tweeted ahead of the show that she’d be “1000% peeing my pants at least two drops.” TBQH, we’d 1000% do the same if we were performing on Saturday Night Live.
