Camila Cabello Gave Shawn Mendes a PDA-Filled Birthday Tribute
Today is Shawn Mendes’s 23rd birthday, and his girlfriend, Camila Cabello, is here to remind the internet with a sweet tribute. She posted on her grid to celebrate her boyfriend of two years on his big day.
“feliz cumpleaños mi amor ❤️ thankful for your existence everyday 🌹,” she wrote alongside a carousel of two images and one video. The lead image is of her kissing Mendes on the cheek.
The video seems to be a little bit of a friendly troll, as she makes Mendes repeat something corny.
“Now I feel weird about saying it,” Mendes, who’s holding an espresso, says to the camera.
“Hey, so, what were you saying?,” she asks.
“I’m saying this is me living me best life,” he responds. “With an espresso and this view,” he says, pointing to the ocean nearby.
That does seem pretty perfect.
Cabello and Mendes celebrated their two-year anniversary in early July with another series of social media posts.
The couple has been public about their future plans; last December, Mendes shared that he and Cabello have discussed engagement.
“Yeah, absolutely, I think for me it's always been if I'm not willing to talk about that stuff then I kind of check out a little bit, and I don’t know, I really think when you know, you know,” he told Entertainment Tonight, referring to that next step. “She's been one of my best friends since I was, like, 15 years old. I don’t know, at the same time, I know we’re really young so I don’t want to jump, like, insanely fast, but I think when you find your person, you feel and you know that you have found your person.”
