'I am calling fake news on this one': Melania Trump's jacket splits commenters

“How extremely odd to wear that jacket on this occasion.”

“I am calling fake news on this one.”

Hidden message or a bad clothing choice? Melania Trump is in hot water after wearing a jacket saying, “I really don’t care, do u?” The first lady was spotted with the jacket while visiting an immigrant children’s shelter at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Several Yahoo commenters were appalled by Melania’s fashion choice. “Imagine if Michelle Obama wore a jacket like this. Or Hillary,” noted one commenter. “Lost all respect for her,” another concluded.

Other commenters took the opposite stance, defending Melania and calling out the news coverage on the matter. “I am calling fake news on this one,” said one commenter. “I claim this was a set up by someone in the media,” wrote another.

President Trump came to his wife’s defense by saying the jacket “refers to the Fake News Media.”

“Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares,” Trump tweeted.

Several celebrities like Chelsea Handler were extremely critical of Melania, taking to Twitter to air their grievances against the first lady.

“The hypocrisy of @FLOTUS going down to the border to speak broken English to our refugees in that dumb jacket is a little hard to swallow,” Handler tweeted.
