Call Your Fucking Senator

Yesterday, a gunman killed 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

Just 10 days prior, a gunman killed 10 Black people in a racist attack at a grocery store in Buffalo.

The very next day, a gunman killed one person and injured five others at Geneva Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods, California.

It's been nearly 10 years since a gunman killed 20 children and six staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut — and as the events above make clear, nothing has changed.

Two gun control bills passed by House Democrats in March 2021 — HR 8, which would expand background checks, and HR 1446, which would increase the background check waiting period — are currently stalled in the Senate due largely to Republican opposition.
