California Ski Resort To Reopen For Memorial Day Weekend
California's Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort just announced plans to reopen for Memorial Day weekend skiing on May 27th and 28th.

Great news! And only 49 bucks for a lift ticket? Hard to go wrong there. The last time I bought a ticket, it set me back at least $100 (what else is new).
The reopening will only permit access to Dodge Ridge's Chair 5, a two-seater that starts at the base. Other Memorial Day skiing perks include a BBQ and access to the Weigh Station Rail Garden.
Tacking on an extra weekend of skiing and riding makes sense for Dodge Ridge: the resort saw 757 inches of snowfall this season, putting them 230% above their snowfall average. It'd be a waste not to take advantage of all that snow in my book.
For those wondering, the resort is south of Lake Tahoe in Stanislaus National Forest. The nearest major city, Stockton, is about a two hours drive away.
What a way to cap off the season. While I won't be making it to Dodge Ridge for memorial day weekend, the resort (which I didn't know existed until about 30 minutes ago) is certainly on my list of spots to visit in the future.
What can I say? I'm a sucker for lowkey hills that get lots of snow. Don't worry. I'm aware that loving two-seaters and short lines doesn't make me unique among skiers.
See a breakdown of Dodge Ridge's stats below.
