You Can Buy All The Furniture in This Colorful Airbnb
Have you ever stayed in a home so beautifully furnished that you wished you could buy everything inside it? Well, now you can thanks to this completely shoppable Aribnb.
On the outside, the Pieces Home looks like any other wood frame house in Kennebunk, Maine. But inside, the two-story house is furnished with colorful rugs, couches, tables, wall art and planters from Brooklyn-based creative agency An Aesthetic Pursuit. If you fall in love with the decor during your stay, you can do more than snap a pic for interior design inspiration because all of the pieces are available for purchase.
“We wanted to create a livable showroom concept to showcase our point of view in one rentable, shoppable home,” Pieces Home wrote in an Instagram caption . “Our house originally built in 1878, served as a blank canvas to be transformed into our first Pieces home. Color led the inspiration for the project, with pattern and texture coming in as key elements to round out the concept.”
The wavy, 60-foot-long rainbow rug that wraps around the home is the centerpiece of the first floor. Other stand-out pieces on the ground floor include the Dose coffee table, which is upholstered in velvet with a flush stone surface, and the mint-colored Fence coffee table, which has has a glass surface with a metal mesh interlay and an acrylic cylinder base.
An ombré stair runner adds more splashes of color in the home. The contemporary concrete Pill Basin adds a modern finish to the terrazzo countertops in one of the bathrooms. Alongside the glass brick windows of one bedroom, the walls are painted cool and navy blue (you can even buy the exact paint colors).
Ideal for up to eight guests, the historic home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining room, and a sitting room. Its modern kitchen leads to a large outdoor deck with dining space, a hammock, and a fire pit.
