Crocs has already dominated the market for clogs, and has even branched into sandals and sneakers since its popularity skyrocketed over the last several years. We couldn’t help but wonder… what could be next?
Busch Beer has an answer: cowboy boots. Or hypothetically, at least. The beer brand decided to troll its followers with an altered digital image that was shared to Twitter yesterday. “Tell us this isn’t genius,” the caption read, above an image of a pair of perforated knee-high brown rubber boots, their traditionally pointed soles and bottoms swapped with Crocs‘ classic clog silhouette and slightly raised heels. Busch even added image ideas for Jibbitz charms, which included several different Busch beers, an apple, and black lettering outlined in white stating “Bad Day to Be a Busch Light.”

It’s important to repeat that the boots aren’t actually in production — at least, not yet. Busch followed up the post with a Tweet simply stating “@Crocs, if only…,” confirming they’re not on the market. Needless to say, Twitter had an array of strong reactions. Both fans of Crocs and Busch alike descended on the post, which has since amassed over 2,700 likes. Though some have strongly stated the boots were “hideous,” numerous others have reacted positively and confirmed they “need” the boots in their wardrobes ASAP. Many have said they’d wear them for a variety of events, ranging from fishing to working at the office.
Crocs has pioneered its brand in recent months with a wide range of collaborations, from Justin Bieber to Diplo, as well as introducing new products like Crocs Socks on Crocs.com. Collaborating on a limited-edition drop of Busch x Crocs boots doesn’t seem out of the question — and the interest is there.
