Some invitations are just way too good to even consider turning down. Such was the case for Petsmart’s Fall Preview, an event that promised to introduce me to more than 20 “top Instagram pet celebrities,” each modeling “festive apparel and adorable costumes.” Sign me up, baby!
Pet costumes are big business. A 2015 report by the National Retail Federation estimates that a staggering 20 million people will dress up their furry friends this Halloween. And based on Petsmart’s preview — which also included NFL tailgating gear and seasonal doggie treats — it’s not hard to see why. This animal attire is freaking adorable.
From scary dino costumes to cute classic pumpkins and some trendy Star Wars gear, there are more creative costumes for your dog or cat than ever before. There are even tiny outfits for guinea pigs!!!!!! To borrow a quote from 2010-era Rachel Zoe … I die. And I may have brought home a miniature Pilgrim hat for my pet rabbit.
