Bucs RB details how Tom Brady is running workouts, says Rob Gronkowski looks 'real good'

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is trying to get in as much work as possible this offseason. Despite the NFL telling players to stop team workouts, Brady and the Bucs have proceeded as normal.

What, exactly, is going on in those workouts? Thanks to Buccaneers running back Dare Ogunbowale, we have a better idea of how Brady is running those get togethers. Ogunbowale joined the Zach Gelb on CBS Sports radio and said Brady is making full play calls and adjusting routes during practice.

“The way [Brady] runs our workouts is like a practice,” Ogunbowale said. “Instead of just telling us run a dig or something like that, he’s telling us the full play call. He’s doing his cadence as if we were in a game. He’s making adjustments, doing the hots and sights. With a guy like him, it’s really easy.”

The 26-year-old Ogunbowale added that he’s been impressed with Rob Gronkowski during those workouts. Gronkowski came out of retirement to play with Brady and the Bucs after sitting out last season.

“I’m just going to say, he looks good,” Ogunbowale said. “He looks real good. He look fast. He look explosive. I’m excited to see him play once he gets pads on for sure.”

With Brady and Gronkowski in tow, the Bucs could have one of the most explosive offenses in football in 2020. Those two will join an excellent cast that already features Cameron Brate, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, O.J. Howard and the team’s running backs — including Ogunbowale.

If Brady still has plenty left in the tank, and Gronkowski looks as good as Ogunbowale thinks, the Bucs’ offense is going to be a huge problem for opponents in 2020.
