Like most of his K-pop cohorts, BTS's Jimin is quite the hair-color chameleon. It's kind of his job to be: Over the last few years, the 24-year-old South Korean singer has experimented with jet black, platinum blonde, bubble-gum pink, and most recently, a dark chocolate brown — and he's worked them all. It seems the star had the itch to spice up his look yet again, though, as he just debuted a brand-new grayish-blue hue that fans are freaking out over.
The beloved boy band member revealed his new hair color via the group's Twitter account earlier this week with an adorable selfie in which he wears a blue-and-black-striped sweater and a backward black cap with some of his hair peeking through the front. While Jimin has played around with blue hair in the past, the shade he has now is decidedly lighter and features a subtle gray undertone. Actually, if you look closely, you can tell it's a very similar shade to his eye color.
It's been less than two days and the tweet has already amassed more than 1.4 million likes and 450,000 retweets — that, and countless fans from the BTS Army have replied in excitement over his colorful new look. Speaking of which, with its icy gray undertone, Jimin's hue couldn't be more on point for winter.
As a whole, fans seem to be obsessed with Jimin's new hue. They've left comments like, "He looks so gorgeous chimchim misses you be warm 💜💙," "Jiminie BLUE 💙," and "literally gorgeous."
In terms of how long he'll keep this color around, only time will tell — but for now, it's the perfect shade to step into winter with.
