BTS is officially Grammy nominated! The band found out when the nominees were announced on November 24 for the 2021 Grammy Awards.

V, Jungkook, RM, and Jimin got together to watch the announcement, which was playing between 2 - 3 AM local time in Korea. Luckily for us, the four night owls recorded their reactions and trust us when we say that you're going to want to watch this ASAP.

They posted the video along with a tweet that read, "Ohmmmmmmyyyyyyyyggghghhhhhhhgggggggggdhdhsjsixudbslsogbdsisgshdbxidjdbdidhdifjfiri," obviously pointing their excitement.

Some fans on Twitter pointed out the band's different reactions from RM throwing his phone on the couch to V's very confused face when the nomination was announced by presenter and fellow co-nominee this year Megan Thee Stallion.

The band's nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit track "Dynamite" is also making history. BTS is now the first Korean-pop group to be nominated in the history of the award show. Their album, Love Yourself: Tear, was nominated back in 2019 for Best Recording Package. However, since they did not design the album's packaging, the band themselves weren't actually nominated for the award.

Also nominated in their category are:

  • "Un Dia (One Day)" by J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny & Tainy

  • "Intentions" by Justin Bieber featuring Quavo

  • "Rain On Me" – Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande

  • "Exile" – Taylor Swift featuring Bon Iver

BTS and the ARMY will have to wait a while to see if they will get the chance to bring home a golden gramophone. The 2021 Grammys are taking place on January 31, 2021.

In an interview with Esquire earlier this week, the band mentioned their hopes of winning a Grammy.

"We would like to be nominated and possibly get an award," RM told Esquire. "I think the Grammys are the last part, like the final part of the whole American journey. So yeah, we’ll see."

Here's hoping that they finally make that happen!
