Bryce Dallas Howard Buys $240 Topshop Dress for Critics’ Choice Awards

Bryce frequently buys her own red carpet gowns online - but rarely are they as affordable as this $240 chartreuse Topshop style.

While many stars collaborate with stylists for months to map out their red carpet wardrobes, Bryce Dallas Howard has a very different approach. The actress either heads to her local department store or orders her gowns online. And she stayed true to that method at Sunday’s Critics Choice Awards, wearing a $240 Topshop dress she purchased herself.

The show-stopping mustard maxi dress features a V-neck line, black beading and a flowing, goddess-like silhouette. The coolest part? It’s currently available at Nordstrom.

She’s crafted her own red carpet dressing rules, calling out sizing stereotypes that exist in the industry.

“When you’re not ‘sample’ size, or when you don’t have a direct relationship with a designer, or if you don’t have a lot of notice, those types of size 6 dresses just aren’t that available that much,” Howard shared earlier this year. “So, what I found is that if something is sort of last-minute, or I don’t have a good relationship with a place, then I go to Neiman’s, or I get something online,” she shared, adding, “I like having lots of options for a size six as opposed to maybe one option.”
