The model and actress posed on the beach in a yellow one-piece.
Shields says she has found a renewed passion for her fitness routine.
Summer might be coming to a close, but Brooke Shields is still soaking up the sun. On Thursday, the 55-year-old model and actress posted a new swimsuit photo to Instagram, teasing that she is “working on something special with my friend @helenachristensen. Stay tuned—exciting things to share soon.”

With a photo like that, it’s not surprising the model has a pretty intense fitness routine, which she has found a renewed passion for after her partial knee replacement. Since the pandemic began, she’s been keeping up with exercising at home and hosting live Instagram workouts with her personal trainer Ngo Okafor.
Each week, the duo focuses on a different part of the body, including arms, abs, and legs. Shields’ lower body workouts have involved bodyweight and stability ball exercises aimed at sculpting the abs and butt, while her arms and abs workouts called for everyday home props like soup cans and water bottles.
In May, Shields told InStyle that she loves sharing her fitness journey on Instagram. “I’ve never been called a fitness enthusiast, but being in it with people has been the piece of social media that I’ve really appreciated,” she said. “It’s helped me feel a healthy responsibility to keep it up. I recommend planning on a time of day to exercise. It can bring a sense of control.”
“People my age can get crossed off at a certain point—like you’ve had a good run, you’ve had your kids, you’ve had your career, you’re done. Meanwhile, in my 50s, I feel physically better than ever,” she continued. “We can really inspire each other right now to do something within our power to feel better. We’re all here to offer support—and I’m not going anywhere.”
While she has been consistent with her Instagram workouts, the model recently told Okafor on their live last week that she would be pausing them for now as she heads to Scotland to film an upcoming Netflix romantic-comedy film.
“I’m going to miss our Wednesdays at 11 for a while. We’ll try to find a new hour,” Shields said, adding that she will still be keeping up with her workout. “I know I’ll be working out, it just won’t be over live.”
We love the motivation!
