Olivia Palermo has come a long way since her days on The City, the faux-reality TV show that chronicled her adventures in the Big Apple including an internship at Elle Magazine. Her no-nonsense attitude didn’t win her many friends, but no matter. Palermo had her eye on the prize: she wanted to be a fashion plate and now she is.
Since the show launched her career, the 29-year-old has transcended from celebutante to street style star to a best bud of famed designer Valentino Garavani (she is photographed frolicking on his yacht every summer). Next week she’ll add designer to mantle thanks to a limited edition, eight-piece collection with Nordstrom.
Though she doesn’t say much — she would rather let her wardrobe speak for itself — the classy way she manages to put herself together with tailored separates and feminine silhouettes means that she’s always on our radar.
