Britney Spears Teases a Brand-New Haircut in Video From Her Tropical Vacation

Britney Spears is savoring her last moments of summer by embarking on another tropical getaway.

Yesterday, the pop star shared a video of herself posing on a beach and splashing around in blue waters. In the clip, Britney wears a baby pink fedora, matching bikini bottoms, black sunglasses—and nothing else.

The “Toxic” singer also teases a new ’do. Underneath her hat, Britney’s blonde hair seems to be chopped to just above shoulder length. “I cut all my hair off,” she wrote in the comments. “I don’t want to show it yet ✂️✂️✂️!!!”

Britney recently made a chart-topping comeback by collaborating with Elton John for a cover of “Hold Me Closer,” her first song released in six years.

In a since-deleted video posted to Instagram, Britney celebrated the release. “Hello Sir Elton John we are like No. 1 in 40 countries,” she said at the time. “Holy s—! I’m in the tub right now and I’m about to go have the best day ever and I hope you’re well.”

In an interview with The Guardian, Elton opened up about working with Britney, revealing that she recorded her part for “Hold Me Closer” last July, nailing the performance in “less than two hours.”

“She sang fantastically,” Elton told the outlet. “Everyone was saying they don’t think she can sing any more. But I said, she was brilliant when she started, so I think she can. And she did it, and I was so thrilled with what she did.”
