Stranger Things and Enola Holmes 2 star Millie Bobby Brown is ready for her next big role. The 18-year-old revealed to Drew Barrymore that starring in a Britney Spears biopic is one of her biggest career goals.

MBB explained why she feels so connected to the "Toxic" singer's story. "I want to play a real person, and I think for me, Britney. [It] would be Britney Spears," she said. "I think her story, first of all, resonates with me. "Just growing up in the public eye watching her videos, watching interviews of how when she was younger. I mean, the same thing with you," she said to the talk show host. "I see the scramble for words [in interviews], and I don't know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and her's only."

Starring in a biopic isn't the only way MBB has paid homage to Britney. Back in 2020, Millie rocked an all-denim look that channeled the singer's iconic couple's outfit at the 2001 American Music Awards. More recently, she even sang one of Britney's biggest hits, "Gimme More," during a game of Elle's Song Association with her close friend and costar, Noah Schnapp.

If MBB's performances as Eleven in Stranger Things and the titular character in the Enola Holmes franchise are any indication of what she can bring to the big screen, then viewers will be in for a huge treat if (or when) she gets the chance to star in a Britney Spears biopic.

On November 8, Britney took to Instagram to reveal that she isn't ready for her story to be told on screen, seemingly weighing in on Millie's comments.

"I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude I'm not dead !!! Although it's pretty f***ing clear they preferred me dead 🙄🙄🙄,” Britney wrote in her lengthy caption, referring to her parents and conservatorship. “…I guess my family is going to lock their doors now 🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄🙄🤧🤧🤧 !!! Either way … I just want to say hi and share these fabulous doors 🚪 !!! I did kinda post too much this week … I'm embarrassed !!! I get it … oh well !!! Have a good day ☀️ !!!" she continued.

Millie has yet to respond to Britney's Instagram post, but until then, we can hold out hope that she'll be a shoo-in for the role when the time for a Britney biopic comes.
